Biography Pierre J. Dalphond is a puisne judge of the Court of Appeal of Quebec. He received his law degree from the Université de Montréal in 1978, was admitted to the Quebec Bar in 1979 and completed a Master in Political Philosophy and Law at Oxford University in 1982. He clerked at the Supreme Court of Canada in 1979-1980 and was assistant to the president of the Privy Council in Ottawa from 1982 to 1984. Before his appointment to the Superior Court of Quebec in May 1995, he was a partner at McCarthy Tétrault in Montreal. He was appointed to the Court of Appeal in January 2002. He is a member of the executive committee of the Canadian Superior Courts Judges Association and was the Association’s president from February 2008 to September 2009. Conferences
