Biography
A graduate in Civil Law from the University of Ottawa, Me Miville Tremblay has been practicing since 1991 with the firm Tremblay, Gagnon in the fields of family law, civil and commercial law, and labour law. He began his law career in litigation, becoming an accredited mediator in 1999.
He was a leading force behind the movement for participatory justice at the Quebec Bar. In 2005, he proposed a project on participatory justice and saw it through to adoption by the Bar in 2006. Me Tremblay is currently chairman of the Quebec Bar’s committee on participatory justice.
He is also a board member of the Association des Avocates et Avocats de Province (AAAP) and is a former president of the Bar in the Outaouais region.
Today, Me Tremblay practices exclusively in the area of conflict resolution as a mediator, arbitrator, mediator/arbitrator, ombudsman for private businesses, dispute resolution consultant and instructor. Passionate about the humanization of justice, he is a frequent speaker on mediation and participatory justice and has published articles on the subject.
