Biography Me de Kovachich is president and Chief Administrative Judge of the Tribunal administratif du Québec. She is a member of the Quebec Bar and the Ordre des administrateurs agréés.

After articling at Ogilvy Renault, she worked as a tax litigation lawyer with the ministère du Revenu du Québec, and later at Stikeman, Elliott in Montreal. She also founded Groupe Option Médiation, a conflict resolution center specializing in mediation and arbitration.

Me de Kovachich designed and helped implement a conciliation process in the Court of Appeal and Superior Court of Quebec, as well as in various administrative tribunals.

In September 2007, she took part in a feasibility study mission on front-line justice in Haiti for Abris de Justice, along with Madam Justice Louise Otis. The study was part of the support for justice program of the Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie (OIF).

Me de Kovachich is a former president of the national alternative dispute resolution section of the Canadian Bar Association (2003-2004). She has managed several projects on the development of international mediation, including one leading to the adoption of the Uniform [International] Commercial Mediation Act in Canada.

She co-authored the book Le guide pratique de la mediation, the recognized reference work in Quebec regarding conflict resolution.

She received the title Distinguished Fellow from the prestigious International Academy of Mediators at Harvard University in 2006.

In 2009, she co-founded the Canadian Conference of Judicial Mediation.
