Biography
Bernard Cliche has been in private practice for over 20 years. He currently practices with the labour and administrative law team of the firm Langlois Kronström Desjardins, one of the largest teams of its kind in Quebec. During his career, he also worked in the in-house legal department of the Commission de la santé et de la sécurité du travail du Québec [workplace health and safety commission] and headed that department for five years.
He represents business clients before the courts and specialized tribunals. He is also a strategic advisor to major umbrella groups and associations representing employers, and to government agencies.
Me Cliche also acted for the Quebec Bar before the Ouellet Commission on the reform of administrative tribunals. He was the chairman of the liaison committee between the Quebec Bar and the Commission des lésions professionnelles [employment injury commission], and represented the Quebec Bar on a working group dealing with the nominations of administrative tribunal judges.
In 2010, he received the Médaille du Barreau de Québec, an annual award recognizing members of the legal community. He has been mentioned in the Best Lawyers directory for several years.
