Biography

Guillaume Lavoie is the executive director of Mission Leadership Québec, a strategic positioning initiative that allows young leaders in Quebec and their organizations develop new networks and opportunities in countries and regions of strategic interest for Quebec and Canada.

Having lived and worked on four continents and visited over 30 countries, Guillaume has been a consultant to the public, private and voluntary sectors in Canada and abroad. A seasoned international observer, he was a member of several international election monitoring and fact-finding missions, particularly in post-conflict zones.

Since 2003, he has been a regular contributor to various radio and television programs on international current events and American politics.

He holds a Master’s in public administration from Quebec’s École nationale d’administration publique (ÉNAP), where he is now a lecturer. He holds a B.A. in industrial relations and certificates in administration and law (Laval University). The first French Canadian to become a scholar of the Fondation Jeanne-Sauvé, Guillaume is also a fellow of Action Canada. He is fluent in French, English and Spanish and has a working knowledge of Catalan.
