Plenary Session - Part Two
While many believe plain language has its limits in the field of law, there is no consensus on the nature and extent of these limits. Plain language skeptics usually focus on the impossibility of being legally accurate and the risk of lawsuits, with their associated astronomical costs. Are the skeptics right?
Éducaloi invited the participants to take part in a spirited debate on the issue. It featured four panellists from very distinct legal environments whose views on the subject varied widely.
Two former judges of the Quebec Court of Appeal acted as a “Council of the Wise”, intervening occasionally to share their opinions, especially when there was a clash of views.
An enriching event that was not to be missed!
