Biography Michael Sheehan was appointed to the Court of Quebec in 1988 and the Quebec Human Rights Tribunal in 1992. From 1998 to 2000, he was associate coordinating judge of the Civil Division of the Court of Quebec. He is co-author of the French version of Professor Mauet’s book Les technique de plaidoiries. He has been the facilitator of the Quebec Bar’s seminar on pleading skills for many years, and was a professor at the École du Barreau [Bar School] from 1983 to 2001. Since 2007, he has been responsible for a pilot project on the management of lengthy cases and settlement conferences.

His volunteer work, both in the legal field and in his community, earned him the "Prix de la justice" award, and recognition from various professional orders and associations. Judge Sheehan is married and has four children. Conferences
